FRANKLIN, Mass., June 14, 2022 — Cold Chain Technologies, LLC (“CCT” or “Company”), a leading global provider of thermal packaging solutions for the transportation of temperature-sensitive products for the life sciences industry, announced today regional fulfillment capabilities in support of specialty pharmacies in the Orlando, Florida, and Miami, Florida, regions. CCT can now provide frequent, on-demand deliveries of Cold Chain Shippers for pharmacies seeking to reduce storage and inventory in those regions.
The fulfillment capabilities will bring operational flexibility to our specialty pharmacies and their customer’s growing needs while reducing inventory costs and warehouse footprint. Finding cost-effective, readily available shipping solutions for temperature-controlled medications has been challenging for specialty pharmacies. The market for these medications is growing rapidly; approximately 75 percent of the prescription drugs in development are classified as specialty medications.
This year, it is estimated that 600 specialty medications will receive approval, and continual improvements in distribution and digital offerings are necessary to meet patients’ demands for immediate doorstep service.
