FRANKLIN, Mass., June 10, 2024 — Cold Chain Technologies, LLC (“CCT” or “Company”), a leading provider of thermal packaging solutions for the transportation of temperature-sensitive products for the life sciences industry, is pleased to announce the opening of a new manufacturing site in Breda, The Netherlands, to further support expansion in Europe.
As CCT continues to bolster its operations globally, it has built a reputation as the industry’s most innovative and reliable partner to the largest global life sciences companies and distributors. In October of 2023 CCT acquired Exeltainer, a global provider of thermal packaging solutions with manufacturing hubs in Spain and Brazil. This acquisition provided the European region with access to a broader portfolio of solutions and services from CCT with the added benefit of sourcing and manufacturing within the region.
The newly constructed facility in Breda was selected to be both a manufacturing location as well as a distribution center for CCT’s wide range of products and services in Europe. The site, located strategically near the Belgium, Netherlands border, will allow for faster deliveries and improved lead times. Additionally, it is within minutes of four major traffic routes and offers delivery times of 5-6 hours or overnight to major capitals within Europe. Aligned with CCT’s commitment to sustainability, the new site is classified with energy label A+++ per the European Guidelines and has a perfect score on isolation.
