2007 Team Annual Economic Impact Award | Cold Chain Tech

Holliston, Massachusetts: December 18, 2007 – In recognition of its major expansion of jobs and facilities, and community involvement, Cold Chain Technologies has been awarded the 2007 Team Annual Economic Impact Award by the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MAED). Cold Chain joins a distinguished group of awardees from the Commonwealth, notably Bristol-Myers Squibb, which invested $750 million in its Devens, MA facility. MAED recognized Cold Chain along with other leading biotech companies, including Genzyme, Millipore, and Varian. The awards ceremony took place on November 21, 2008 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Daniel O’Connell, Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development gave the keynote address.

The Team Annual Economic Impact Award is the only award of its kind in Massachusetts. According to Susan Houston, the Executive Director of MAED, “This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate economic achievements across the diverse regions of Massachusetts and to recognize the joint efforts of the public and private sector to retain and create jobs across industry sectors.” (MAED, October 1, 2007)

Judges for the 2007 award included: Robert Culver, President and CEO of MassDevelopment; Michael DiGiano, Executive Vice President of NAI Hunneman Commercial; Cherly LaFleur, Executive Vice President and COO, National Grid; Kevin Quinn, President of Dacon Corporation; and Girard Sargent, Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank.
