Holliston, Massachusetts, August 29, 2013 – Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), a leading provider of thermal packaging solutions has recently named Anthony “TJ” Rizzo to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. As a result of the executive appointment, TJ is responsible for leading the annual goals of the sales, marketing, and customer service departments.
TJ joined Cold Chain Technologies in 2006 as a Sales Engineer from the specialty gas industry. Nearly five years into the sales position, TJ greatly expanded the mid-America region and was instrumental in establishing a number of major accounts in his territory that have helped define CCT as a leading provider of solutions to the cold chain market. With a positive track record and a proven ability to work across company departments, TJ was promoted in January 2011 to Director of Sales and Marketing and performed exceedingly well in the role by meeting the extensive demands of planning and managing company-wide sales.
“TJ has become an invaluable member of the Cold Chain Technologies organization and management team. His promotion reflects the continued growth of our company, the importance of his departments’ responsibilities and his increasing role in positioning us as a leading provider of temperature-sensitive packaging solutions,” states Larry Gordon, President of Cold Chain Technologies.
In addition to his vice president promotion, TJ has been named a “2013 Top Rising Star in Temperature Controlled Logistics” by Cold Chain IQ, a subsidiary of IQPC. Per Andrea Charles, Editor of Cold Chain IQ, “2013 will see a great deal of investment in new and existing technologies for improving supply chain visibility and packaging for the life sciences. However, the cold chain is only as strong as the people who manage it. We reached out to our advisory board to recommend rising stars in temperature controlled logistics for life sciences.” The Cold Chain IQ advisory board is comprised of a panel of key thinkers and thought leaders in the temperature control and logistics industry.
“To be promoted to a senior executive role at CCT and also recognized by the Cold Chain IQ advisory board as a rising thought leader is really quite an honor. Both accomplishments will serve as inspiration to continue putting my best foot forward. I’m very excited about the future and what’s next,” says TJ Rizzo.
TJ holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
